(VOV) - Nine foreign teams will compete with 20 domestic teams in 33 events of the 19th Open International Athletics Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City from July 10-12.
They came from Malaysia, Brunei, the Republic of Korean, Thailand, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, the Philippines.
Walker Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc and high jumper Duong Thi Viet Anh, who have both won berths for 2012 London Olympics, will not join the event as they are busy preparing for the Summer Games.
Athletes will participate in 18 events for men and 16 for women at the Ho Chi Minh City Open Championships starting on July 8.
