Vietnam’s first International Sailing Festival, themed Thuyen, bien, cat vang, va mat troi (Ship, sea, yellow sand, and the sun), will be held in the coastal province of Binh Thuan from January 15-18.
According to organizers, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan Province, the highlight of the event will be a competition between sailing teams from 26 different countries and territories – from Ham Thuan Nam to Tuy Hoa beach.
The festival will include international conferences - “Vietnam’s sea tourism” and “Marketing and business of sail boats, sail yachts in future in Vietnam,” and an outdoor music show featuring more than 100 international artists and beauty queens representing participating countries.
Activities will include an art installation, a panoramic landscape photo exhibition and a display of 200 sailboats, and an exhibition of international sail boat accessories.
Representatives from Vietnam’s coastal cities and provinces, travel agencies, five-star hotels and resorts, and boat manufacturers, will participate in the international festival.
