An annual international prize, to be named after King Tran Nhan Tong, on Reconciliation and Affection, will have the first awards ceremony on September 9 th , 2014, Reconciliation and Affection Day, according to the Open Minds Union, a summit of international leaders and scholars.
The prize is expected to honour activists for reconciliation and affection for mankind all over the world, those with reconciliation initiatives to stop conflicts and tackle contradictions among communities, nations, and religions, and leaders with great humaneness, and activists for helping abandoned children, aged below 10, have a better life.
Also, this prize will introduce and honour King-Buddha Tran Nhan Tong and the Vietnamese culture to the world.
An international conference on King Tran Nhan Tong will be held in September 2012 in Harvard University in the USA, paving the way to set up the Tran Nhan Tong Prize and the Tran Nhan Tong Research Institute.
