The pastry team of the InterContinental Asiana Saigon was awarded the Best National Team at the world’s most prestigious patisserie competition in Paris ‘the Mondial Des Arts Sucres’ (MDAS) for mixed pairs.

The pastry team of the InterContinental Asiana Saigon was awarded the Best National Team at the world’s most prestigious patisserie competition in Paris ‘the Mondial Des Arts Sucres’ (MDAS) for mixed pairs.

The team was picked to represent the nation at the Vietnam Classic Pastry Cup competition organized by CFF (Classic Fine Foods) last September.

The Vietnamese team consisted of Pham Thi Tuyet Nguyet,Pastry Sous Chef and Nguyen Minh Hoai,Pastry Chef de Partie.

Nguyet and Hoai’s next challenge is the World Cup eliminator at Food and Hotel Asia in Singapore from April 18 to 20. The duo’s goal is to qualify for the final ‘Couple Du Monde De Patisserie’ which will be held in Lyon, France next January.

MDAS attracted 16 teams worldwide and was held at the European Exhibition in Paris with 770 exhibitors and partners and 82,690 visitors.
