Industry and trade ministry to deal with climate change

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), in association with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), announced its plan to deal with climate change on September 8. The overall plan, part of the activities to implement the national programme to deal with climate change, will focus on effective use of energy and the development of bio-energy and renewable energy in all MoIT projects in Vietnam. The plan is expected to help minimize the impact of climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the country. The industry and trade sector is considered to be the most affected by climate change. However, it was also at an advantage to apply technical advances to respond to climate change.
