Indochina Airlines to hand out refunds

Indochina Airlines (ICA) handed over a report regarding the issue of its refunds for tickets that were already issued.

The report was handed over to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV).

Le Hon Pho, the Managing Director of Indochina Airlines has said that ICA officially blocked all trading promotion activities, effective on January 31, 2009.

According to figures on the system of seat booking from January 16 to March 23, 2010, ICA has sold tickets to around 1,456 passengers with a total number of over VND1.9 billion (US$101,252)

ICA refunded VND270 million (over US$14,388) for nearly 200 purchased tickets. ICA will further its money refund to customers based on a scheduled plan.

ICA has plans to refund money for tickets booked before January 26, 2010.

ICA has proactively refunded customers approaching the company with purchased tickets on flights from January 26 to March 23, 2010.

“We are committed to refunding passengers who bought tickets but were not served," affirmed ICA’s leader.

Recently, CAAV has decided to revoke ICA’s transportation rights and hundreds of customers have come to ticket agencies and ICA’s office to demand refunds.
