Hanoi ranked second with 128 golds, 27 silvers and 43 bronzes, followed by Quang Tri with 33 gold, 20 silver and eight bronze medals.

Individual prizes were also given at the Games including the best female athlete, which went to Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, a track and field athlete from Ho Chi Minh City who earned five gold medals and broke three Paragames records. Her teammate, swimmer Vo Thanh Tung, won the best male athlete prize after wining four gold medals and setting two Paragames records.

This year's competition, held jointly by the National Sports Administration, the Vietnam Paralympic Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted 744 athletes from 25 cities and provinces across the country. It provided an opportunity to select outstanding athletes to train for the 6th Southeast Asian Paragames, scheduled to be held in Indonesia this December.
