Dozens of teachers, students, and donors’ relatives burnt incense in commemoration of those who donated their bodies to the school for medical and research activities.
Since 1996, the school has received 409 corpses out of 14,712 volunteers who make commitment to give away their bodies after death.
“The school has just been equipped with a modern professional refrigerator system to enhance the quality of teaching, studying and researching,” said Le Van Cuong, head of the school’s anatomy faculty.
The system can preserve corpses at minus 30 Celsius degrees, he added.
