High-ranking military delegation visits China

Senior Lieutenant-General Do Ba Ty examines a Vietnamese military unit.


PANO – Senior Lieutenant-General Do Ba Ty, Deputy-Minister of National Defence, Chief-of-the-General-Staff of Vietnam People’s Army, on April 11 th , led a high-ranking military delegation to visit China.

The visit is being made at the invitation of Senior Lieutenant-General Chen Bingde, Chief-of-the-General-Staff of Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

The visit is to confirm the good-will and expectation to boost the traditional friendship relations between the people and armies of the two countries, promote mutual understanding on international, regional and bilateral issues of the two sides’ interests, contributing to strengthening political trust.

During this visit, the high-ranking military delegations of the two countries plan to discuss measures to lift the defence cooperation and friendship relations to a new height, becoming more practical and efficient in the upcoming time.

The visit will last until 17 th April 2012.
