High times for Central Highlands
Outlook
Outlook

The Central Highlands, among the country s fastest growing regions, is getting set for a major promotion forum next month that seeks investors in highland projects.

This month s issue of our monthly news magazine Outlook examines the Central Highlands prospects for growth, taking an in-depth look at the region s plans to expand coffee and rubber plantations while also investing in sectors such as mining and hydropower production.

The magazine, which goes on sale in Ha Noi, HCM City and other major centres this morning, also takes time out to enjoy the Central Highlands vibrant cultures and unique traditions. We take a ride on an elephant to see how the highlands tradition of domesticating the giant beasts offers huge potential for local tourism. We talk to three celebrities from the arts scene about how the Central Highlands has inspired their work and visit a highland village that was established by a man of E De ethnicity who wanted a better life for his people.

Also in this issue, we sample the southern delicacy of bun suong soup, meet a ca tru veteran who hopes to revive the ancient singing art and relive the night Michael Jackson played Moscow with one of the King of Pop s biggest Vietnamese fans.
