Heineken to host countdown party on New Year’s Eve

Some leading Vietnamese and international singers, DJs and dancers will take part in the Heineken Countdown Party to ring in the New Year in HCMC and Nha Trang City from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Dec. 31.
The event in HCMC will take place on Nguyen Hue Boulevard and be attended by famous guitarist Joy Basu from the U.S., singer Aimi and DJ Emrah Is from Europe and Vietnamese artists Ho Ngoc Ha, V. Music band, Yen Trang, Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh and Amigo G band in the city. Meanwhile, singer/DJ Liviu Hodor and singer Mona from Europe and Vietnamese singers Ha Anh Tuan, Hien Thuc, Thu Thuy, Minh Thu and the X5 band will join in the Nha Trang event in the April 2 Square.
From 6:00 p.m. onwards on New Year’s Eve, the streets leading to the venues of the events will be for pedestrians only. In Nha Trang, Heineken will hold a ten-minute fireworks display as the old year is out.
Since its inception in 1907, the Coundown Party is a special event to welcome the New Year at the Times Square in New York. It attracts around one million participants and billions of TV viewers worldwide. Heineken has held this special event in Vietnam for three consecutive years.
The program will be broadcast live on HTV7 channel from 11:30 p.m.
