Nhan Dan Online – Hanoi came out on top at the 2012 National Shooting Cup, which officially wrapped up in Hanoi on May 28, taking home 19 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze medals.
The final day of competition witnessed the absolute dominance of the host team’s marksmen, with individual gold medals for Bui Quang Nam in the men’s revolver and Nguyen Thi Xuan in the women’s air rifle (40 shots) events, and two team gold medals in the same categories.
The Military team finished second with 11 gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals, followed by Hai Duong with six golds, six silvers and three bronzes.
The tournament, which began in Hanoi on May 22, brought together 142 marksmen from ten teams across the country, who competed in both men’s and women’s individual and team events.
The seven-day event provided a good opportunity for Vietnamese shooters to hone their skills and gain more experience in preparation for upcoming domestic and international competitions.
