Hanoi has been adorned with beautiful flowers, especially peach and apricot blossoms, the traditional flowers for Tet.
People buy kumquat trees to decorate their homes and the lakes are lit up with glowing lotus lanterns.
Families also gather to prepare traditional foods to serve to relatives and friends over the holiday.
