Hanoi presents gifts to national contributors

Nhan Dan – The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2648/QĐ-UBND on presenting gifts to over 128,000 people from across the city who contributed to the nation on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

According to the decision, gifts of VND 500,000 apiece will be given to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and sick soldiers who were handicapped by toxic chemicals and were therefore unable to work to their full capacity as well as policy beneficiary individuals and families. Martyrs' families will receive gifts worth VND 300,000 each.

58 disadvantaged families of war martyrs and war invalids in 29 districts will also receive gifts worth VND 1.1 million.

Businesses run by war invalids and sick soldiers, established by People’s Committee of districts and towns and authorities of martyr cemeteries across the city will receive VND three million.

A gift worth VND 5.5 million will be presented to convalescent centres for contributors to the nation and the businesses run by war invalids and sick soldiers, established by the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee.

City authorities will also visit and present gifts to other convalescent centres for war invalids and sick soldiers in neighboring provinces.
