A photo exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the late President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek ways for national salvation (1911-2011) and his 121st birth anniversary (May 19) is on display at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi.

The exhibition theme is “President Ho Chi Minh and the way for national liberation” and more than 200 photographs and exhibits showing the path taken by the late President to seek national liberation are on display.
The event honors Uncle Ho’s role and contributions in the national liberation, building of the country and the common struggle for peace, national independence and social progress.
Major achievements made by the Party and people in the renewal process are also on view.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Party Central Committee Office and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

In related news, a speaking contest on President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career as teacher and student was held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City on May 11.
Contestant Van Thi Kim Hung of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan Province won the first prize. Tran Bich Nga of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City and La Mong Linh from Ca Mau Museum got the second and third prizes.
The competition’s aim was to strengthen the skills of teachers and museum guides and encourage young people to study and follow the teachings of Uncle Ho.
