The Hanoitimes - The first automated multi-storey parking garage in Hanoi will begin operation on July 16 to help meet the increasing demand for space to park cars. The five-storey facility, located on 126 sq.m at No. 32 Nguyen Cong Tru Street in Hai Ba Trung district, is capable of housing 30 automobiles. The steel garage is removable and flexible and can be reassembled according to the amount of space needed and it only takes two to three minutes to get a car out of the garage. Over VND 13 billion (US$624,000) was invested in the garage and the capital recovery period is estimated at 47 years. Two additional automatic car parks will be assembled in Hanoi on Tran Nhat Duat Street in Hoan Kiem district and Nguyen Cong Hoan Street in Ba Dinh district. Hanoi will also build more underground and multi-storey car parks to help cope with the serious shortage of parking facilities in the city. KTDT |
