The flyover, running towards Nguyen Chi Thanh – Tran Duy Hung streets will be 315 metres long and 16 metres wide.
The new flyover will be larger than the two existing steel flyovers at the intersections of Lang Ha – Thai Ha and Chua Boc – Tay Son, which went into operation at the end of last month. It will be built from eight steel pillars and consist of four lanes for motorbikes and automobiles, with a maximum weight capacity of 30 tonnes.
The flyover is being constructed to help ease traffic jams in the capital and is scheduled to be completed before the Lunar New Year in 2013, at a total cost of VND348 billion (US$16.6 million).
