Hanoi and hosts Quang Ngai 1 won the 2011 national women’s and men’s boxing club titles respectively at the championship that ended Tuesday (March 24) at the Dien Hong Sports Center in Quang Ngai Province.
The Hanoi women successfully retained their top place by finishing the competition with four gold and two bronze medals, followed by the Army clubs with three golds and People’s Policewomen with one gold and one silver.
The Quang Ngai 1 men’s team won two gold, two silver and four bronze medals while the People’s Police 1 team finished second with two gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Nghe An were third with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
The eight-day event in the central province attracted a total of 203 men and women boxers from 20 cities, provinces and agencies who competed in eleven categories for men and 10 categories for women.
