VietNamNet Bridge - Coach Trieu Quang Ha has been re-appointed as the head coach of V-League side Thanh Hoa.
The 39-year-old replaced veteran coach Le Thuy Hai, who was fired in the wake of a match fixing scandal.
Ha, who was born in Thanh Hoa, signed a three-year contract with his home team. He has a tough job ahead, helping Thanh Hoa avoid relegation next season.
"We had no difficulties reaching an agreement," said Nguyen Van De, chairman of the board of directors of Thanh Hoa Football JSC.
"Ha grew up in the Thanh Hoa football movement and became a national team member. With his youth and enthusiasm, I believe he will bring a new vitality to the team. Ha will not only show his coaching ability, but also his responsibility for football in Thanh Hoa," De added.
However, De didn't reveal the monthly salary of the former Ha Noi T&T coach.
Ha, who had to say good bye to Thanh Hoa after guiding the team for only three matches in 2009, said he was confident and eager for a new challenge.
"I am happy to be back at my home club. Over the past two years, I have learnt a lot and changed. I'm no longer afraid of pressure," Ha affirmed.
At present, Ha is the head coach of the national U-19 team. He will lead the team at the upcoming ASEAN U-19 Football Championship in Myanmar, and then take over the reigns at Thanh Hoa.
According to Ha, the first and most important thing for him is to keep hold of key players whose contracts have expired, such as Cong Huy, Dinh Tung, Quang Vinh, Tuan Tung and Xuan Hop.
Thanh Hoa have already succeeded in securing the services of foreigners Pape Omar, Sunday Emmanuel, Dasilva and Nguyen Rodgers.
