PANO - At a recent routine meeting in Ho Chi Minh City’s, a report by the People’s Committee showed that the City’s total export turnover reached US$1.73 billion in November this year, an increase of 27.9%.
In all, during the first eleven months of 2010, HCMC’s total export revenue was estimated at US$19.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.
Specifically, export revenues rose by 16,5%, 15,5%, 13,3%, and 9,1% for rice, textiles-garment, footwear, and aquatic products, respectively.
In addition, other economic sectors have also attained new developments. For example, the number of tourists to the City rose by 22% over the same period last year, transport revenue increased by 28%, and industrial production value also attained a 13.9% increase.
