HCMC signs trade and service agreement with southern provinces

On December 12th, Ho Chi Minh City signed a cooperative agreement in the trade and service fields for the 2011-2015 period with 13 Southwestern provinces and seven Southeastern province of Vietnam.

On December 12 th , Ho Chi Minh City signed a cooperative agreement in the trade and service fields for the 2011-2015 period with 13 Southwestern provinces and seven Southeastern province of Vietnam.

Under the agreement, Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces will promote their advantages through comprehensive cooperation in the trade and service fields.

The localities will intensify cooperative activities, trade promotion, exchange experiences on administrative reform and support the expansion of the state management capacity and the competitiveness of businesses and exports.

Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong said that over the past few years, the city still had high economic growth. Moreover, the city’s GDP, industrial production value, total retail and commodity service turnover made up 20-30 percent of that of the country. These made positive impacts on the economic development of provinces and cities in the region.
