VGP – Around 70 pianists from eight countries are joining the First International Piano festival, which opened in Hồ Chí Minh City (HCMC) on October 18.
The pianists came from the US, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, and Việt Nam.
Besides solo performance, there will be performances of piano triet and piano duet during the six-day festival.
A conference about Franz Liszt will be held to mark the great composer’s 200th birthday anniversary on this occasion.
Professional pianist Võ Bảo Lạc Nhân will give a lecture on the history of piano art Piano Master classes.
Two professionals from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Boris Kraljevic and Rena Cheung Phua will give instructions to excellent piano students.
