The US$1.4 billion Saigon Sunbay tourism urban project has begun the first phase of site clearance following the deal signed between three partners Can Gio Tourism Ltd (CGC), Dai Phu Gia Ltd and Singaporean South Construction this Monday.

The project, which is located in Can Gio District, occupies a total 600 hectares including 400 hectares of land and 200 hectares at sea.
By the time it is completed, the project will consist of five-star hotels, spa, shopping and entertainment centers as well as high class villas and apartment to serve up to 31000 residents and tourist.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2015 and the project will be up and running in 2018.
