A working delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Party Permanent-Vice-Secretary of the Party Municipal Committee, Nguyen Van Dua, visited flood-hit areas in Quang Ngai Province.
The delegation arrived at the two districts of Mo Duc and Duc Pho, paid visits and compliments to affected families and directly presented 500 gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to the local people, who were hardest affected by recent floods.
The delegation also passed VND 500 million of donations by Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City officials and people for flood-hit areas to local authorities. The money will then be allocated by local authorities for local people.
On the visit, the delegation paid a call to Dang Thuy Tram Infirmary and presented VND 100 million to it to buy medicines for the treatment of local flood-hit people.
