Nhan Dan Online – The Quang Tri Trading one-member limited company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a rubber processing plant on March 25 in Cam Chinh commune, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province.
The plant, which covers 10 hectares, will have an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons per year.
The VND50 billion (US$ 25 million) facility will use modern equipment imported from Europe to ensure environmental protection and effective wastewater treatment.
When it is fully operational in August, the plant is expected to create hundreds of jobs for local residents and contribute to producing new products, as well as improving competitiveness, meeting export market requirements, and promoting sustainable agricultural and rural development.
The plant aims to generate VND300 billion (US$15 million) annually and contribute VND20 billion (US$1 million) per year to the State budget.
