At a reception for Grand Duke Henri, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Cao expressed his pleasure at the Grand Duke’s visit, saying that the province has effectively used Luxembourg’s aid for rural development projects in Quang Dien district and for training human resources at the Hue Tourism College.
The projects have helped develop tourism and improve the province’s transport infrastructure in rural areas.
He hoped that Luxembourg will continue to provide more aid and boost investment in Vietnam, particularly in Thua Thien - Hue. He also affirmed that local authorities will create favourable conditions for Luxembourg’s enterprises to invest in the locality, especially in tourism, science and technology and healthcare.
Grand Duke Henri expressed his pleasure in visiting Thua Thien – Hue and appreciated the co-operation between the province and organisations in Luxembourg to implement the projects.
On the same day, the guests from Luxembourg visited the tomb of King Tu Duc and Luxembourg government funded projects in the province for the Villa Hue hotel, Hue Tourism College and St. Paul de Chartres orphanage.
