The domestic price of gold on the morning of May 16 decreased by VND350,000/tael compared to the previous day.
At Vietnam Technological Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (Techcombank), SJC gold was traded at VND40.8-41.05 million/tael.
The price of SJC gold was listed at VND40.77-40.97 million/tael in Ho Chi Minh City but at VND40.99 million/tael in Hanoi.
At Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank), SBJ gold was transacted at VND40.35-40.65 million/tael.
The domestic gold was still VND1.5 million/tael higher than the world when it dropped sharply to US$1,542.6 per ounce on May 15.
