German festival 2017 to be held in HCMC

“Deutschlandfest 2017” will be taken place for the first time at the Saigon Zoo (02 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, District 1, HCMC) on April 22 from 9:00 am till 17:00, said German Consul General to HCMC Mr. Andreas Siegel, at the press meeting, this morning.

At the press meeting -

“The festival aims to popularize our country - Germany to Vietnamese people; and also to strengthen the people-to people partnership, building on the existing ties in the economic but also the educational, academic and cultural sectors”, added Mr. Siegel.

More than 300 German enterprises including 250 members of German Business Association and others from German Industry & Commerce Chamber will present themselves at 25 booths along the stretch of pavement right behind the main entrance to the Zoo.

Singers such as Vu Nhat Tan, Ho Trung Dung, Lam Vissay, and Trung Luong are expected to deliver a varied stage program with German and Vietnamese performances at the festival.

The event is bound to be fun for adults and children alike. The organization board expects to attract around 5,000 local people during the festival.
