PANO – The Party Committee of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army held a meeting on July 13th to work out tasks for the final half of the year with the participation of Senior Lieutenant-General Do Ba Ty, Deputy-Minister of National Defence and Chief-of-the-General-Staff.

In the first six months of 2012, the General Staff’s Party Committee directed its affiliated units to thoroughly grasp all resolutions and degrees of the Party, effectively fulfill their assigned missions, especially on national defence and security tasks. Besides, the Committee regularly and steadily updated national defence and security-related contents to put forwards timely made recommendations to the Central Military Commission and Defence Ministry’s leaders to deal with sensitive issues in any circumstances, making contributions to maintaining social order and peaceful and friendly environment with regional nations.
Addressing the event, General Do Ba Ty affirmed that in coming period, the General Staff’s Party Committee should continue to seriously grasp and implement instructions of the Party, the State and Defence Ministry and as focus on carrying researches to make appropriate recommendations to the Central Military Commission, the Defence Ministry and the State to promote the whole-army strength and the State’s national defence strengthen combat readiness trainings for the whole army to deal with any unexpected circumstances in the air, at the sea and along border area and key localities.
