Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh on January 7 followed up on preparations for the 11th National Party Congress which is to be held later this month at the National Convention Centre.
Nguyen Xuan Phuc, minister and head of the Government Committee Office, and Hoang Thanh Khiet, deputy chief of the Party Central Committee Office, informed Manh about the facilities, security and accommodation for delegates attending the meeting.
All preparations for the Congress had now been completed, they said.
Manh said he was highly appreciative of the work carried out by authorities, officials and the armed forces in organising the Congress.
He stressed National Congress was an important political event and was of great significance to the country. Preparations needed be conducted carefully as they were important to the success of the Congress.
The 11th National Party Congress will take place in Hanoi from January 11 to 19 with the participation of nearly 1,400 delegates who represent more than 3.6 million Party members in 54,000 grassroots Party organisations.
The National Party Congress is held every five years.
