GSW wraps up in Greece

VGP – The 22nd Global Summit of Women (GSW) wrapped up on June 2 in Greece after three working days.

The summit drew the participation of nearly 800 women leaders of the states, governments and companies from 70 countries.

Delegates to the event actively discussed many important issues, including major development trends in regions and the world, the role of businesswomen in sectors with high growth…

The delegates said women should bring into play their self-reliance and make more efforts to affirm their roles and positions in the society.

The summit called for elimination of gender prejudice in thought, culture and action in families, offices and societies.

At the summit, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan highly appreciated the significance of the summit for women across the world.

She also confirmed Vietnam’s active participation in and contribution to GSW for years.

The Vietnam delegation wants to share experience and strengthen linkages and cooperation with women in other countries in the world, and show solidarity and support for Greek people, especially women amid difficult times.
