The Business Association of Industrial Parks in HCM City and HCM City Worker Support Fund are organising a free healthcare programme for workers from March 8 to April 21 at 14 industrial and export processing zones in the city.
The programme has received a donation of VND2 billion (US$96,153) from the Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Co.

Training centre for coffee farmers opens
The International Finance Corporation, a World Bank arm, and Atlantic Commodities Viet Nam Ltd, a subsidiary of the Swiss-owned ECOM Agroindustrical Corporation, have opened a training centre for Vietnamese coffee farmers in Bao Loc Town in Lam Dong Province.
The centre will train 4,000 farming households in the next three years, helping small farmers achieve sustainable coffee certification like Utz, Rainforest, and 4C and improve productivity.

Fake money at banks down almost a quarter
The number of fake currency notes detected in the banking system last year declined by almost 24 per cent from the previous year and 66 per cent from 2007, according to State Bank of Viet Nam.
It is for the fourth straight year that the number has dipped.

Thua Thien Hue licenses fibre plant
The Thua Thien Hue industrial parks management has issued a licence to the Phu Anh Fibre Co.
The VND95 billion (US$4.5 million) plant will have an annual capacity of 2,100 tonnes of fibre.
It is expected to open in March next year.
