The fourth Red Day will be held on January 8th, 2012 to once again mobilise people to donate blood to save patients’ lives, according to Tien Phong (Pioneer) Newspaper, the organizer of the movement.

The reserves of blood in hospitals sharply reduce during the traditional Lunar New Year Festival, which make it difficult for medics to cure patients, he added.
Four years ago, Tien Phong Newspaper in collaboration with the Central Blood Transfusion and Haematology Institute and hospitals across the country launched the movement, which urged people, especially young ones to donate blood.
