PANO – The former Party General-Secretary, Le Kha Phieu, on April 28th, paid a visit to and laid a wreath at the Temple dedicated to martyrs in the south-eastern region in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province, on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the complete liberation of South Vietnam.

He was accompanied by leaders of the Military Zone 7, Corps 4 and Dong Nai Provincial Party and People’s Committees.
The temple, built by the DonaCoop Group with a total investment of VND25billion, is home to more than 37,000 martyrs who gave their lives in battles in the south-eastern region during the anti-American resistance war for national salvation.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Le Kha Phieu highly valued the DonaCoop’s contributions as an act to show gratitude to those who had rendered good services for the nation.
The former Party leader also urged the local authorities, armed forces and people to promote education of national traditions and look after the beneficiaries’ living standards.
Mr. Phieu and other delegates also planted memorial trees at the temple.
