The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam virtually doubled in October to 440,071, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Tourists arriving by air rose 126 percent to 357,571 while those arriving by other modes remained similar to last year.
The amount of international visitors in the year to date has crossed 4 million, a 39 percent rise.
