Police in the central province of Binh Thuan are investigating two foreign tourists accused of attacking and critically injuring a Vietnamese man.

Initial information was that Khadiev Alalol, a 27-year-old Russian, and Azbel Pavev, a 30-year-old Kazakh beat Le To Thang, 29, on Monday after leaving a local bar.

According to some sources, the tourists rented a Jeep from Thang but later damaged it and refused to pay compensation, leading to the conflict.

The next day Thang’s family and friends surrounded the Melon Hotel, where the tourists were staying, seeking revenge, but police intervened following tips provided by local residents.
