The Hanoitimes - The 2010-2011 school year will be the first year in which foreign languages will be taught for pupils in the 3rd grade.
On July 29th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held a national conference to review the 2009-2010 school year and set forth tasks for the 2010-2011 school year with the theme of “Continuing management renovation and improving the quality of education.”
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan hopes that cities and urban areas will take the lead in the new programme.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked the educational sector to further improve the quality of educational results based on achievements.
He also asked the sector promote the movement towards building friendly schools and encouraging pupils’ extracurricular activities.
