A meeting is organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry for foreign enterprises to talk of administrative procedures reform
The Hanoi Times - Administrative procedures reform cannot bring about best results if it is not supported by the business circle, especially foreign enterprises, stated many delegates to a meeting held this morning in Hanoi by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the meeting, the foreign business community highly valued the Government of Việt Nam’s determination in drastically carrying out the Plan on simplifying administrative procedures in State management fields (Plan 30) as well as gave comments on some “improper” formalities.
According to representatives of Eurocham, Vietnam can miss 20-30% of her competitive advantages due to troublesome administrative procedures.
Meanwhile, Japanese enterprises suggest Vietnam better control the system of legal documents, stating that important points relating to policies must be stipulated in the Government’s decrees rather than in ordinances issues by ministries.
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Ngo Hai Phan, Permanent Vice Head of the PM’s task force for administrative procedures reform, stressed that in late October, the Government will promulgate a decree controlling administrative formalities and will establish a body in charge of this work.
These moves are aimed at building a system of open, transparent, understandable and predictable procedures, he said.
He also introduced the website Thutuchanhchinh.vn and some ministerial websites bearing administrative procedures reviewing forms which can be downloaded, filled and sent to the PM’s task force.
