Floating in the land of love with the “Red Pillows”

VietNamNet Bridge – An installation art called “Red Pillows” was displayed at the Dien Tho Palace in the Hue royal citadel for five nights of the Hue Festival, creating a peaceful and sweet place for visitors.

At the instruction of French artist Vanessa Jousseaume, from the Le Dieu Dit troupe, the audience lied down and put their heads on red pillows. They closed your eyes and relaxed themselves to listen ten to music, stories or poems from the pillows. They sat down when they completely relaxed.

The stories, music and poems told by Red Pillows included the most famous works by Vietnamese well-known poets and composers like Han Mac Tu, Xuan Quynh, Ho Xuan Huong, Nguyen Binh and Trinh Cong Son and particularly “The First Love” by Vanessa Jousseaume, which was inspired by love stories of young people at the Center of Hue Culture.

There were over ten red pillows and people had to wait for their turns. As the show took place for only one hour, from 8.40 to 9.40pm, those who came late for just 5 minutes had to wait for the next day to listen ten to the red pillows to “tell” their stories.
