Beginning February 3 and running through February 12, Reflections Restaurant will celebrate morels, that most exquisite fungi that’s particularly esteemed by French chefs. A la carte, the selections pair morel mushrooms with white truffle oil, on toasted sourdough and with deep sea scallops. As main courses, the morels accent fresh tagliatelle, ox tongue, roasted fillet of beef, sea bass and pork tenderloin.

Prices: from VND 200,000++ to 540,000++ per dish. As well, for VND 980,000++, there’s a Set Menu where the morels command center stage as complements to seared sea scallops and roasted fillet of beef.

All afternoon on Valentine’s Day, the Lobby Lounge will brew sweet nothings and a remarkable high tea from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm. Look for smoked salmon, oysters, deep-fried prawns and a sumptuous spread of delectables from raspberry mousse to chocolate truffles.

As the day wanes and night comes on, both Nineteen and Reflections Restaurant are set to prepare meals once enjoyed by Aphrodite herself. At Restaurant Nineteen, it’ll be a buffet featuring caviar and fish roe, and that most romantic of all entrees – oysters – though there’ll be no end to the cornucopia of seafood and mains in the restaurants action stations.

In Reflections, one of Saigon’s foremost pianists will serenade diners through eight candle-lit courses, beginning with smoked cobia and concluding with hand-rolled chocolate truffles.
