Artists, locals and tourists can join together in the annual Ha Long Carnival 2011 held at 8pm tomorrow in Bai Chay beach, Ha Long City, the northern province of Quang Ninh.

Three thousand artists, divided into 15 troupes, will dress up in colorful costumes performing different shows in a street parade called The Ha Long Sparkling with Colors tomorrow.
The highlight of the event is a 90-minute laser, sound and water performance. After that, colorful fireworks will end up the carnival night.
The tourism week is expected to attract around 500,000 tourists to the bay, accounting for eight to ten per cent of the average annual visitors to the province.
There are other activities like a music and poetry night on Ha Long, a photograph exhibition, a cuisine festival, a beach volleyball tournament, and a tennis tournament at the event until May 5.
Halong Bay, comprising some 1600 islands and islets forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars, was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 and is a famous tourist site in Vietnam.
