Marie Stopes International Viet Nam (MSIVN), a UK-based non-profit organisation providing reproductive healthcare and family planning services, will offer free health checks for female workers in nine cities and provinces across the country on the occasion of the International Women's Day (March 8).

Female workers under 50 years of age in HCM City, Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Binh Duong and Can Tho can receive the free health checks from March 5-10 at 10 clinics run by MSIVN in different parts of the country.

February export turnover up 25 per cent

According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the country's export turnover in February reached US$8.2 billion, an increase of 15.6 per cent over January.

Total export turnover of the first two months reached $15.3 billion, an increase of 24.8 per cent compared to the same period last year, the ministry said.

Foreign invested businesses have dominated exports this year with a turnover of nearly $8.6 billion in the first two months, a surge of 49.2 per cent over the same period last year.

The number of international visitors to Viet Nam last month reached 682,000, a surge of 29.4 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to figures from the General Statistic Office. The majority of the visitors were Chinese.
