VietNamNet Bridge – Despite drizzly and cold weather, hundreds of people queued in front of the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi from 2 am onwards, on December 16, to buy tickets for the second semi-final game between Vietnam and Malaysia.
At 4 am, hundreds of people surrounded the ticket stall. Ticket stalls opened at 8.30 am.
A student from the Hanoi Foreign Trade University said she queued from 4 am and bought two tickets.
She said many people were here from the early morning. Six people at a time were permitted to get into to buy tickets.
This man said he rented a room in a nearby inn from 9 pm, December 15. He went to the stadium to queue from 4 am.
He said he was waiting for a long time but couldn’t buy tickets. “I’m willing to buy tickets at a price double the face value but nobody wants to sell”.
Hundreds of people also queued in front of the Vietnam Football Federation to receive tickets that they registered for groups several days before.
