PANO – The General Department of Logistics of Vietnam People’s Army has organised a conference to advance training in logistics work for the entire army in 2012.
Senior Lieutenant-General Le Huu Duc, Deputy-Minister of National Defence, attended the conference, which took place in Military Zone 7 from April 9 th to 11 th .
The General praised the achievements made by the logistics sector over the years, especially in ensuring logistics needs for training, combat readiness and combat, actively contributing to building Vietnam People’s Army a regular, elite and more modern one.
The Deputy-Minister also said that the content of the training for the logistics staff this time has gone in line with the army’s tasks in the new situation.
The training helped the leaders in the logistics sector of the army understand better about the national and international political landscapes, the tasks of building the army in the present period, the tasks of ensuring logistics requirements in the defence areas at provincial and district levels etc.
