Football fans of the English Premier League will have the chance to see the Barclays Premiership Trophy in HCM City on March 27.
Legendary players Denis Irwin and Gordon McQueen, who bring the cup with them, will hold a press briefing and an exchange with spectators at 14.00 at Rex hotel.
ManUnited FC mascot Fred the Red will also be present at the exchange with HCM City spectators.
Vietnam is a stopover of the Champ19ns Trophy Asia Tour program.
Left-wing defender Irwin, 47, who played for Manchester United FC from 1990 to 2002, made 296 appearances at Old Trafford, and won seven Premier League title medals, three FA Cup winners medals, a League Cup winner’s medal, a Champions League Cup, a Cup Winners’ Cup, and an Intercontinental Cup (Toyota Cup).
Midfielder McQueen, 52, played for Manchester United FC from 1978 to 1985 and won an FA Cup winners title in 1979.
In 2005 former English and ManUnited captain David Beckham introduced the FIFA Gold Cup trophy to Vietnamese fans.
Later the fans welcomed their Brazilian stars Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato and former French star Christian Karembeu to HCM City for friendlies.
Striker Pak Ji-Sung from ManUnited FC also arrived in HCM City in May 2011 for a charity friendly.
