PANO – To effectively and scientifically manage construction projects in the army, firstly management officers should regularly approach and learn about the latest operation methods following national standards and Defence Ministry’s criteria.
This was remarked by Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director of Design Consultancy and Construction Investment under the Ministry of National Defence (DCCD) at the opening ceremony of the whole-army training course on construction in Hanoi on July 9th.
The course draws participation of managerial officers from units in the whole army. Teachers are leading experts on construction management work in Academy of Urban and Construction Management (Ministry of Construction) and the DCCD.
During the two-week course, trainees will learn how to operate and manage equipment installed in a project such as systems of electricity, water, ventilation, air-conditioning; fire preventing and fighting and rescue systems in circumstances of accidents or natural disasters; as well as will be provided basic information about bids, material calculation and payment.
The updated knowledge acquired in the course will pave the way for bettering and well implementing management in the army’s projects.
“Well management during construction of projects in army units helps cut down additional expenditures and avoid losses”, the Lieutenant-Colonel affirmed.
