DongA bank is planning to install Vietnam’s first bullion vending machines in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by the middle of this month.

They will be installed at the bank’s ATMs at its headquarters in HCMC’s Phu Nhuan District and branch in Dong Da District, Hanoi. The machines will dispense a 3.75-gram Phuong Hoang PNJ DongA Bank gold bar at real-time prices quoted by the Phu Nhuan Jewelry Co.
It will be similar to a normal ATM transaction, with customers using their ATM cards and following instructions.
The first machine of this kind was unveiled at Abu Dhabi's luxury Emirates Palace hotel last May. The German-made machine, Gold To Go, is gold-plated and dispenses gold bars in various sizes.
