The two documentaries have been aired on television channels in over 30 countries worldwide. The films describe Michael Jackson’s music career from a 5-year-old boy to the King of Pop at the age of 21.
VietNamNet Bridge – HCM City Television (HTV) has bought two documentaries - “Michael Jackson – Unmask” and “Living with Michael Jackson” – to be broadcasted on the 51st birthday of the late King of Pop.
These films collected images and information that had not been made public before, including interviews with Jackson’s relatives, friends and assistants such as his sisters and brothers Janet Jackson, Catherine Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and his friends – actresses Brooke Shields, Elizabeth Taylor, singer Diana Ross aswell as his representative Quincy Jones and doctor Al Sharpner.
“Living with Michael Jackson” was produced by senior journalist Matin Bashir from the UK’s Granada channel, who followed Michael Jackson within eight months, form May 2002 to January 2003 to shoot this documentary.
This film was aired in the UK for the first time on February 3 2003 and immediately became one of the best-sold documentaries in history, luring more than 15 million people in the UK and 38 million in the US.
In the interviewing style, “Living with Michael Jackson” introduces to the public a completely different Michael Jackson, who was lovely, sweet, a man of family, a great father, not a man of scandal as people often saw on the media.
The two documentaries will be aired at 10pm on HTV2 channel from August 25-27.
