The British embassy in Hanoi and the East Meets West Foundation has launched a photo contest named The thao hoi nhap (Integrated sport).
The contest, which is open to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living and working in Vietnam, aims to capture impressive and emotional moments of sport for Vietnamese disabled people. The photos need to have been taken from 2010 and not have won awards at any contest organized or sponsored by the Vietnam Artistic Photographers’ Association.
Deadline for entries is October 8 with entries sent to East Meets West Foundation at 26A Alley 12/2/5, Dang Thai Mai Street, Tay Ho District or email them to thethaohoanhap@gmail.com .
The Foundation is also set to launch a similar project to help disabled people in the central province of Quang Tri join in sport activities to improve their health and increase their confidence to integrate into the local community.
