The Polish airline LOT officially opened a direct air route from Warsaw to Hanoi with its first flight landing at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport on November 14.
LOT head representative in Vietnam, Krzysztof Kolodziej, said that Hanoi is the airline’s only destination in Southeast Asia and aims to be the gateway to Asia for its passengers.
LOT will operate three flights per week on the route.
He also said that the flight leaves Hanoi in the early morning and leaves Warsaw late at night which is ideal timing for passengers transferring to other airports in Europe and vice versa.
To promote the launching of the route, LOT is offering a special discount for flights to Europe from November 15.
Accordingly, a one-way ticket from Hanoi to Poland is US$199 and from Hanoi to other destinations in Europe is US$299. (VNA)
